When The Forem was no more than an idea in founder Alli Young’s head, she turned to Tanooki. During her time at Google, she recognized a need for a scalable Learning and development platform that would let leaders connect and mentor others. From building a pitch deck to launching an MVP that helped secure funding, and ongoing development support as the product continued to grow, Tanooki has served as a trusted partner to the team from the onset. 

Says Young: “There has never been a time over the past 3 years where Tanooki was unable to deliver within the expected timeframe (or sooner!) They do an outstanding job of forecasting the level of effort of a project and foreseeing potential roadblocks well before we hit them.”

Starting with Sprint Zero, Tanooki worked with The Forem to first identify the various users and user flows as well as the different objects present within the system. The resulting Invision prototype was then used for fundraising and product validation.

Since then, Tanooki has provided support and expertise in development, design, product/project management, as well as high-level technical advisory. As part of the partnership, Tanooki also assisted in the hiring of their Founding Engineer, having first-hand knowledge of the technical infrastructure and identifying the right candidate to come in and build upon the foundation that was built.
