A mobile app that helps family and friends contribute to a child’s education savings.
The brief
Opening an education savings plan is one thing. Helping family and friends contribute is another. Hadley wanted contributing to a 529 plan to feel as straightforward as sending a payment. The systems behind that experience were anything but straightforward.
We worked with founder Yosh Miller from the first prototype, mapping how contributions should work and researching the systems behind them. That early work helped the team connect a simple user experience to a complicated financial process.
Working with the Hadley team and tools including Plaid, Stripe, and Skyflow, we designed and built the payment flow between bank accounts and education savings plans. The app keeps the steps clear for the person making a contribution.
